Implementing Digital Competencies in University Science Education Seminars Following the DiKoLAN Framework

Prospective teachers must acquire subject-specific digital competencies to design contemporary lessons and promote among students themselves. The DiKoLAN framework (Digital Competencies for Teaching in Science Education) describes basic the teaching profession natural sciences precisely this purpose. In article, we describe development, implementation, evaluation of a university course based on which promotes science teachers. As an example, learning module Data Processing Education is presented, its effectiveness investigated. For purpose, used questionnaire developed by Working Group Digital Core measure self-efficacy, can also be future pre-service showed positive increase students’ self-efficacy expectations. Overall, paper thus contributes teacher education using as best-practice example—a blueprint designing new courses implementing test instrument valid evaluation.
